Substance151 Featured in the Big Book of Green Design

Substance151 featured in the Big Book of Green Design from HarperCollins that highlights designers using green principles to minimize the ecological footprint.

Three design projects by Baltimore-based Substance151 were included in the Big Book of Green Design: brand identity for a DC-based indoor air quality consulting firm Eco-Coach, brand development for The Green Building Institute, an integrated campaign for the Baltimore Bioneers conference, and visual system for the Maryland Chapter of the US Green Building Council.

The practice of green design concerns itself with conserving natural resources, reducing waste, and minimizing the footprint of the entire project: from design, execution and use of environmentally conscious materials for print projects. The Big Book of Green Design demonstrates how designers can do more, by showcasing projects that encourage the intentional use of sustainable business practices that minimize environmental impact of the finished pieces.
