Marketing Communications Internship with Emphasis on Writing

This is a hands-on internship designed for senior-level undergraduate or graduate college students who wish to excel by experiencing real-world situations while learning from award-winning creative professionals.

This internship is focused on research and writing rather than design. The internship is unpaid (could be for academic credits) and runs in parallel with academic semesters.

You will have an opportunity to assist in these areas:

  • Developing articles and whitepapers on the topics of branding, marketing, sustainable design, design trends as well as their applications to various industry sectors. The assignment would require a combination of research, creative thinking and writing skills.
  • Developing integrated campaigns for Substance151 – both strategies and tactics – across a diverse range of media: articles and blog posts, e-marketing, PR, social media, etc.

Who Should Apply

  • You have experience with business writing, PR, social media, research and strategic idea generation for a variety of communications.
  • You are a highly motivated self-starter who is passionate about learning from experienced professionals, but who will take the initiative to learn from your own research and analysis and will always go the extra mile, beyond the “must-haves” of the given assignment.
  • You are a highly organized, strong multitasker with impeccable attention to details and the ability to prioritize and take direction.

Requirements

  • Writing and research skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
